Over the last 4 years, I have really noticed what a superior content management system Drupal is. Drupal handles many aspects of your website by using PHP and MySQL to generate pages, without having to recreate every page in HTML. Drupal has over 5000 contributed modules which allows it to do more than you can imagine.

I have adopted Drupal as my CMS of choice and use it exclusively for all of my customers' projects at this point. Several of my friends and colleagues are very experienced with Drupal. I have worked with several clients who were somewhat proficient with Drupal, or who had others working on the site who were, and just needed some guidance and direction for the project. I was taught Drupal best practices by my teachers and mentors, Dave Burns and Jerad Bitner, while working with them at Rapid Waters Development. These best practices include using version control systems, creating daily MySQL backups, exporting views and panels to code, and many of Drupal's simple, yet seemingly very important community standards. As a Drupal consultant, I bring these best practices to any project I work on whenever possible, which gives the project a better workflow, and provides some proven methods to avoid any critical issues with the site's development.

The first E-commerce project I worked on for a client was a Zen Cart store. Since then, I have learned how to use Ubercart, a Drupal module that handles e-commerce on a Drupal site much better than 3rd party integration with something like Zencart or Magento. I have helped build e-commerce enabled Drupal websites for small to medium sized businesses without the need for a service like Yahoo Stores.
